Prasoon Joshi, Ranbir Kapoor receive a complaint against the 'toilet leakage' scene in Sanju

A complaint has been filed against Sanju, Rajkumar Hirani's upcoming film featuring Ranbir Kapoor as actor Sanjay Dutt. As reported by a leading daily, CBFC has received a complaint filed by activist Prithvi Mhaske in which an objection has been raised against the scene that shows a toilet overflowing in the barracks of jail Sanjay Dutt is in. The complaint says that the scene makes a 'bad impression about the jail and the jail authorities in India.'

The letter has been addressed to Prasoon Joshi, the CBFC chairperson, the makers of the film and Ranbir Kapoor stating, "In the trailer of the movie we have seen a scene that Sanjay Dutt was in such a barrack of a jail in which the toilet overflowed. As per the information available, the government and jail authorities are taking a very well care of all the barracks of the jails. We never heard any such incidents anywhere. Earlier as well many movies were released based on the gangsters wherein the jails were covered but never had seen such incidents". [sic]

It further explains that they would fight a legal battle if an appropriate action is not taken soon. The complaint says, "This particular scene will make a bad impression about the jails and jails authorities of the Indians. If there is no action about the same by you then we are left with no option to approach the honourable court to put stay on the release of the movie". [sic]

The scene in question makes for one of the powerful scenes from the trailer. Watch it at 2: 00 in the trailer below:
