What’s a Sunday without some doggie love! Newlyweds Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli appeared to be completely taken by the most adorable pooch. The picture shared by both Anushka and Virat shows the couple sporting casual black tees as they gush over the cutest puppy outdoors. Anushka’s face is absolutely gleeful as she holds up the chubby pet, while Virat flashes a huge, delighted grin.
While it is not clear as of now whether the pup is the latest addition to their family, we would like to think he is their first four-legged bundle of joy, as a newlywed couple.
Incidentally, both Anushka and Virat are complete animal lovers. Anushka had marked her birthday this year with the announcement that she was building an animal shelter on the outskirts of Mumbai. Named the PETA 2017 Person of the Year for her wide-reaching work for animals, she was also lauded for being a “proud animal rights proponent whose kindness and initiative know no bounds.”
Virat is a big dog-lover himself. He has several pooches at his Delhi home but it was last year that he really won our hearts when he adopted 15 destitute dogs at a rescue and rehabilitation centre in Bengaluru.
Coming back to the pup who appears to be the latest love of their lives, both Anushka and Virat shared the pic with a heart emoticon. The picture has gone viral with over 1.4 million likes and it’s growing. All their friends, including Deepika Padukone, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ayushmann Khurrana and Sania Mirza, have liked their picture – who wouldn’t??
Fans, of course, have gone into a tizzy declaring it "Best picture on the Internet" and gushing that "Anushka and Virat are made for each other". Looking at all the happiness in this single frame, we have to agree!
