Sonam Kapoor Ahuja celebrates her 33rd birthday today. The actress who got married last month to businessman Anand Ahuja has a stupendous hit on her hands in the form of her recent film Veere Di Wedding that stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Shikha Talsania and Swara Bhasker besides herself. Post her wedding, this is the first birthday she is ringing in with her hubby Anand. Recently, the actress spoke to a leading daily about what birthdays mean to her and how her hubby dearest gave her the best birthday surprise ever.
Our birthday girl loves celebrations and expects her friends to be there to greet her with lots of gifts. Sonam accepted she is not the one to shy away from celebrating her birthday and makes the most of her special day. However, what she revealed about her husband Anand’s romantic gesture was the best thing.

Sonam revealed that when she had started dating Anand, he had planned a birthday surprise for her. Only two months had passed when they had started dating but that did not hinder him from making a splash on Sonam’s birthday. He had flown down to Mumbai and booked a restaurant. Sonam said that nobody knew at that time that they were dating so she does not know how he pulled out the entire thing.
Moreover, Anand had planned the menu accordingly keeping in mind that Sonam is a vegetarian, making Sonam go tizzy with happiness. He played some of her favourite songs and gave her a handwritten card as well as some flowers. Sonam was taken in with the handwritten car., “I don’t know many boys who write cards. Anand is one of them," shared Mrs. Sonam K Ahuja.
The couple is currently in London and celebrating Sonam's birthday in presence of her friends and family.
