The wait is finally over. Superstar Rajinikanth returns to theatres with his film Kaala, a gangster film having Dharavi at its backdrop. This is the second time Rajinikanth is teaming up with director Pa Ranjith. They first collaborated on the 2016 release Kabaali. The film has been gripped with one controversy after another right from the time it started shooting. Although the film released on Thursday in India, Thalaivar’s fans around the world got to see it one day early. Kaala has got a roaring welcome on Twitter and people can’t get over the fact that Rajinikanth is back in his charismatic style and elegance.
The film is about a migrant gangster who fights for the poor. Rajinikanth plays the role of Kaala Karikaalan, who fights for the rights of the people of the slums against a scheming politician played by Nana Patekar. The film stars Huma Qureshi, Samuthirakani, Sampath Raj, Sayaji Shinde, Anjali Pati, Pankaj Tripathi and others. It is produced by actor Dhanush who is also the son-in-law of Rajinikanth, under his banner Wunderbar Films. Santhosh Narayanan has composed the music for the film. Kaala took over Twitter and the fan’s frenzy had to be seen to be believed. Kaala fever was not only restricted to India but was happening all over the world.
