Irrfan Khan's picture at a cricket match confirmed by his son's presence

Acclaimed actor Irrfan Khan who is currently undergoing treatment for a neuroendocrine tumor cancer was recently spotted in a picture that went viral on social media. A man presumed to be Irrfan was spotted enjoying a cricket match at the Lord’s cricket ground. The picture was shared by a Pakistani journalist. Speculations were rife about the authenticity of the man in the picture and many thought that it is a lookalike of the popular actor. However, now it has come to light that the man in the picture wearing a hoodie and looking directly at the camera during the match between England vs Pakistan is indeed Irrfan Khan.

A Twitter user replied on the photo and said that the actor was looking really weak probably because of his illness and refused to click any photographs with fans because of ill health.

The authenticity of the picture lies hidden in the picture itself, because on close inspection one can see Irrfan’s sons Babil and Ayaan sitting behind the actor at the Lord’s stadium, and judging by the look of annoyance at Babil's face (the one in the hat), they are not very happy on being spotted. Irrfan's wife Sutapa Sikdar can also be seen in the picture sitting next to her sons in a hat. With the family being spotted at such close quarters and keeping a wary eye on the actor, any doubts and dilemmas are quickly laid to rest and now it is confirmed that the man in the picture with the piercing gaze and nonchalant attitude was Hindi film actor Irrfan himself.

Irrfan had announced his diagnosis in a somber note in March this year when he took to Twitter to quash speculations about his health and wrote, “Life is under no obligation to give us what we expect: Margaret Mitchell. The unexpected makes us grow, which is what the past few days have been about. Learning that I have been diagnosed with NeuroEndocrine Tumour as of now has now has admittedly been difficult, but the love and strength of those around me and that I found within me has brought me to a place of hope. The journey of this is taking me out of the country, and I request everyone to continue sending their wishes. As for the rumours that were floated NEURO is not always about the brain and googling is the easiest way to do research :-) To those who waited for my words, I hope to be back with more stories to tell.”
