Former chairperson of the Central Board of Film Certification and filmmaker, Pahlaj Nihalani has announced his new film. The filmmaker talked to a news agency recently and spilled the beans on his next project, which features Govinda in the lead. What is special about the movie is that it's going to trail the life of probably one of the most controversial Indian figures, businessman Vijay Mallya.

As reported by a news agency, Nihalanai talked to them and revealed that they have the comedian-actor on board for the movie which has been titled as Rangeela Raja. He said, "I have made a movie inspired by the life of Vijay Mallya, and Govinda is in the main lead, audiences will be surprised to see his new avatar. The movie will be completely entertaining," the filmmaker told the agency.

He added that the feel of the songs of the film is based on 'Kingfisher Calenders,' one of the most popular modelling assignments started by Mallya in the country. The movie will be reuniting Nihalani and Govinda after a long gap of 35 years. The two had worked together in Avatar, a 2012 film directed by Nihalani featuring Govinda. However, the movie could never see the light of the day.

Talking about working with the Kill Dil actor again, the producer said, "It felt just like old times when we shot together for his debut film Ilzaam. Govinda is fitter now than he has ever been. And Chinni Prakash who has done many of Govinda’s dances in my films gave Govinda steps this time that only Govinda can do. No concession for age. And Govinda wasn’t looking for easier step."
