IPL 2018 closing ceremony: Exes Ranbir, Katrina and Salman dish out 'whistle podu' performances

Cricketer Shane Watson was back to his brutal best as the opener notched up a scintillating unbeaten 117 runs, and helped Chennai Super Kings lift their third Indian Premier League (IPL) title, thrashing Sunrisers Hyderabad by eight wickets in the summit clash at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday.

Besides the nail-biting finale keep viewers at the edge of their seat, a special IPL finale prelude programme on Star Plus, called “Cricket finals… party toh banti hai” kept the audience hooked on from 5 pm onwards. Ranbir Kapoor, along with Kartik Aaryan and Aparshakti Khurana hosted the show before the live broadcast of the final match.

Besides RK's commentary, the show witnessed a melange of performances and fun-filled interactions with celebrities. Putting her washboard abs and an enviably toned mid-riff on display, actress Katrina Kaif performed to her hit songs including Kamli (Dhoom 3), Swag se Swagat (Tiger Zinda Hai) and more. Dressed in a yellow crop top and distressed deinms, Kat left the stage amid whistles and hoots, undoubtedly!

No party can be complete without the heartiest party-maker of them all – Salman Khan. Salman, accompanied by co-star Anil Kapoor, hosted one segment of the show. It was learned that superstar was to about his love for the sport and how he often plays the game at his Panvel farmhouse. Earlier, a report by a leading daily also suggested he was touted to share details about his favourite players and who he supports followed by some booty-shaking.
