Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor after dating for quite some time called it quits in 2016. They were living in for sometime which gave rise to speculations about their impending marriage but the two decided to go their separate ways. The split was not amicable as was evident when they came together to promote their last film together Jagga Jasoos which did not do too well at the box office. The interviews that they gave during the promotions clearly showed the rift and unpleasantness between the two. Now, they are likely to cross paths again at the Indian Premier League.

Ranbir has been roped in to host a two hour show at the IPL finals called Final Party Toh Banti Hai which will be a prelude to the final match. The show will bring together cricketers and Bollywood celebrities on stage. Many actors like Salman Khan - Jacqueline Fernandez and Kareena Kapoor – Sonam Kapoor will be interacting with Ranbir for promoting their film Race 3 and Veere Di Wedding respectively.  Katrina will be performing at the IPL finale too. Since the time they parted ways they have not interacted much and it will be interesting to see how they behave among such distinguished crowd. Although they will not be performing together but might share stage at some time during the event.

In an earlier interview, Katrina had told a leading daily about her breakup and said, “Whether it was, how difficult it was, is honestly something that will stay with me. And only with me. Not even with Dada (Anurag Basu). Because it’s not something I want to discuss. Not now, maybe. You can never say about the future, but definitely not right now. Whatever it was, however it was, it will always stay with me." She had also spoken about her displeasure with regards to Ranbir working with his ex Deepika while they were still dating. She had said, “I can’t enforce my will on the people in my life. Their choices are their own. I may not be happy with them but I hope that as they mature or as they evolve, their choices will change.”
