Wedding bells are ringing loud in the Kapoor household of Bollywood. Sonam Kapoor, daughter of actor Anil Kapoor, is all set to tie the knot with longtime beau Anand Ahuja on May 8, 2018. Festivities have officially commenced at Anil's Juh residence as Sonam got mehendi put on her palms and feet. Decked in a traditional suit, the 32-year-old looked beautiful beyond words as she paired her outfit with her million dollar smile. The entire fam-jam marked their attendance at the function, including cousin Janhvi Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Anshula Kapoor and Shanya Kapoor.
The Kapoor girls brought their A-game to the ceremony and looked resplendent in ethnic wear. While sisters Janhvi and Khushi made a statement in Manish Malhotra ensembles, Shanaya looked pretty in pink while Anushla opted for a maroon and gold-coloured outfit. Striking a pose for the cameras, the cousins celebrated sisterhood and went by #SistersBeforeMisters adage, doling out #Goals in the process.
Ever since their mother Sridevi passed away, Janhvi and Khushi have been bonding with her half-sister Anushla, including half-brother Arjun. The young girls, along with father Boney Kapoor are often spotted about town, or post dinner at Arjun's place.
Coming back to Sonam's mehendi ceremony, here's a quick rewind to a few pictures which won our hearts.
On May 7, a Mehendi and Sangeet ceremony will be held for the fraternity friends where Sonam's bunch of friends and cousins including Karan Johar, Kunal Rawal, Jacqueline Fernandez, Varun Dhawan, Swara Bhasker, Arjun, Anshula and others will put up power-packed performances for the bride and the groom. Daddy Anil Kapoor will be taking over the dance floor too!
Sonam and Anand Ahuja will be united in matrimony in a traditional Sikh wedding, called the Anand Karaj on May 8, 2018. The venue of the wedding is the heritage bungalow Rockdale, which is the residence of Sonam’s maternal aunt and famed interior designer, Kavita Singh. The same evening will be the reception with the newlyweds partying with family and friends at The Leela. Guests have been requested not to bring gifts, as their gracious presence is all that is desired. The Kapoors and Ahujas are clearly keeping it very relaxed and very special.
