We are dearly missing Sridevi at Sonam Kapoor's mehendi ceremony

Sonam Kapoor is dining with her bunch of friends, close-knit family members and near and dear ones at The Leela in Mumbai as we write this. The actress is the happiest bride-to-be ever! Dressed in in a pastel-hued outfit paired with polki jewellery, laughing her heart out as the mehendi artists apply heena on her palms and feet, Sonam looked radiant as her cheeks turned pink with happiness.

Besides her fraternity friends, Sonam is joined by her parents, siblings Rhea and Harshvardhan, cousins Arjun, Janhvi, Khushi, Shanaya, Jahaan and Anshula, uncle Sanjay and Boney and aunt Maheep. The pictures of the overjoyed Kapoor Khaandaan is making us utterly miss Sonam's beloved aunt and actress Sridevi. The veteran breathed her last earlier in this February in Dubai, where she had flown to attend the wedding of her nephew Mohit Marwah. While Sridevi is no more between us, her memories of applying heena at various occasions linger in our mind as we reminisce the old days.

Sridevi, 54, died of 'accidental drowning' on February 24, 2018. The actress' mortal remains were flown to India on the night of February 27 and she was laid to rest with state honours on February 28. Her ashes were immersed in Rameshwaram and Haridwar.

Meanwhile, here are some pictures of bride-to-be Sonam from the mehendi function.

Sonam and Anand’s wedding festivities have officially kickstarted at Anil Kapoor’s Juhu residence. The lovebirds will be united in matrimony in a traditional Sikh wedding, called the Anand Karaj on May 8, 2018. The venue of the wedding is the heritage bungalow Rockdale, which is the residence of Sonam’s maternal aunt and famed interior designer, Kavita Singh. The same evening will be the reception with the newlyweds partying with family and friends at The Leela. Guests have been requested not to bring gifts, as their gracious presence is all that is desired. The Kapoors and Ahujas are clearly keeping it very relaxed and very special.
