The trailer of Bucket List is out and it appears both heart-warming and fun in equal measure. Madhuri plays Madhura Sane, a housewife, a mother and a daughter-in-law. However, life undergoes a transformation when she wants to start ticking off to-dos from the bucket list of a teenager named Sai, who appears to have donated her heart to Madhura. After chancing upon Sai’s diary with details of the incomplete items on her bucket list, Madhura now decides to live Sai’s dreams as a tribute to her. From a bike trip to downing shots, Madhura Sane attempts it all.

At the unveiling, the gorgeous Madhuri was naturally the centre of attraction, with not just the film’s team including producer Karan Johar, but the entire gathering of media persons going a tad gaga over her. Slender and beautiful as ever – which fountain of youth is she drinking from?? – she fielded all questions with her customary grace.

She spoke about how when she had been approached for this Marathi film, she went ahead and met the makers. “I liked the script but it wasn’t complete at the time,” she shared. She advised them to complete it before she could take a call. When she read the final script, she greenlighted it in a jiffy! “It is the story of a housewife and it has very deep meaning. Anyone will connect to it,” she maintained.

Speaking about her return to films, she pointed out that it was amazing to reconnect with the film folk. “I have a special connection with Renuka (Shahane) from the time of Hum Aapke Hai Koun. I have a good connection with Karan Johar as well. And as for Ranbir, he is one of my favourite actors. He is a very good actor and he was the perfect choice for the scene in the film.” Yes, his cameo is evidently rather cute!

Quizzed about things that feature on her personal bucket list, she quipped, “Doing a Marathi film was on my bucket list!” She has apparently made the right choice!
