Now this is one piece of news that the fans of Tabu and Jimmy Sheirgill will be happy to hear. The actors will be pairing up again for a film. Jimmy, who made his debut in Tabu’s Gulzar-directed Maachis in 1996 that was based on the Khalistan movement, is going to be working with the actress again after 22 years.

Tabu and Jimmy were last in a film together in 2005 when they did the women-oriented love drama Silsilay but did not share screen space then. In the award-winning Maachis too, Tabu and Jimmy were not paired opposite each other, and the actor Chandrachur Singh got the honour of playing the romantic lead opposite the sultry actress.

This time around the two actors will be sharing screen space in a film produced by Luv Ranjan and directed by Akiv Ali. Along with Tabu and Jimmy, Ajay Devgn will also be a part of the film. Surprisingly, Tabu and Jimmy were never offered a project together in the past 22 years. Now, it is believed they are looking forward to working with each other after such a long time.

The reclusive Tabu has collaborated with some of her former co-stars in the last three years. She reunited with Ajay, her co-star from Vijaypath (1994) after an 18-year break in Drishyam (2015) and in Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal Again (2017). The two films were well-received and Tabu and Ajay were appreciated by the audience. Now that Jimmy will also be reuniting with Tabu and Ajay will also be there to lead the star cast of this film, the audience can look forward to some of the old spark between the actors.

Tabu had bagged the National Best Actress Award for her role in Maachis as well as the Filmfare Best Female Debut for Vijaypath. She was last seen in the psychological thriller Missing opposite Manoj Bajpayee that released last month.
