Karan Johar makes history, becomes first Bollywood director to get a wax statue at Madame Tussauds

Joining his peers of Bollywood, Karan Johar will now have his wax statue at Madame Tussauds later this year. As Karan's film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai will complete 20 years this year, he now has another reason to celebrate.
Karan Johar will be the first ever Indian film maker to enter the world renowned attraction. Karan being the unique and wonderful personality that he is, he has been an extremely popular name that fans and visitors at the attraction inquired about.
Karan’s talent and career goes well beyond just film making which makes him an exciting and entertaining personality for them to add to the many other iconic International wax figures. Additionally, Karan’s figure will not just be launched in one city but will simultaneously head out on tour across Asia to give his many fans across the world a chance to experience him being waxed. The procedures have begun and the figure will be ready in 6 months.
Katrina Kaif was the last Bollywood celebrity to get her wax statue at the prestigious Madame Tussauds, New York. However, the fans of the diva were not exactly elated as the statue cannot hold a candle to her beauty. However, Katrina was really pleased with her image in wax. Katrina has a statue at Madame Tussauds, London too. Her statue joined the new Bollywood setting as part of the museum's '15 years of Bollywood' segment.
It remains to be seen whether Karan's wax statue bears any likeness to him and whether the creators can incorporate his famous pout on the statue or not. Hopefully, they should not go too wrong but when you think about the sad job that the Grevin museum did for Ranveer Singh's statue, anything is possible.
However, we are keeping our fingers crossed in the hope that Karan's statue will be a good one.
