This Mahira-Fawad pic is giving fans the ‘Humsafar’ feels

The Pakistan Super League brought together some of the most fave faces of the screen… Like Humsafar co-stars Fawad Khan and Mahira Khan. The two gorgeous Pakistani actors had themselves a little reunion on Monday, as they supported their teams. Mahira posted a picture with the dishy Fawad, captioning it, “Hogaya chase #PSL2018 #fatsosofMJ.” Her good-natured pot-shot also carried forward the dig she had taken at Fawad last month at the opening ceremony. She had teased, at the end of a match, “Fawad nahin hota tum se chase (Fawad, you can’t chase).”

In return a smirking Fawah had replied, “Karne waley bolte kam hain (Those who take action, don’t talk about it)”

Also seen in the selfie with the Humsafar duo is Hamza Ali Abbasi. Fans were thrilled considering the trio will soon be seen collaborating for an upcoming film together, Maula Jatt 2.

Fawad and Mahira had emerged as one of the best-loved TV couples, after they appeared together in the 2011 popular show, Humsafar. The story had revolved around the trials and tribulations of a married couple, with Mahira playing Khirad and Fawad, Ashar. The serial had got the highest TRP with 13.6 which no other Pakistani drama serial has achieved till date.

Both Fawad and Mahira had flourishing careers in Bollywood till the Uri attack led to a ban being imposed on all Pakistani actors.

Recently, Mahira, who had made her Bollywood debut with the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Raees last year, raised eyebrows when she declared that the Indian film industry was never her aim. “Bollywood was never really the aim actually. I mean sure you could argue that I could have done more films there, for sure I could have. But right after Raees I had already started working on Verna, even before our artists got banned in India. My focus was always Pakistan,” she maintained.

Mahira and Fawad will be seen in Maula Jutt 2, the reboot of Sultan Rahi’s 1979 blockbuster, which is being directed by Bilal Lashari. The film features Fawad Khan and Hamza Ali Abbasi as Maula Jutt and Noori Natt respectively.
