Sonu Nigam graces the stage for Hiroo Johar's 75th Birthday

Karan Johar has always been a mama's boy and everyone is aware of it. The leading director has always been proud of the same. So, for his mother, Hiroo Johar's 75th Birthday,Karan goes all out for the celebration.

The party is on the roll with Sonu Nigam putting up a set by performing all the hit songs by Dharma Productions. He will be belting out all Hiroo Aunty’s (as she is popularly and affectionately known in the industry) favorite songs. Plus chart busters of many Dharma Productions films which are always known for their outstanding music.

Apart from this, Sonu will most certainly sing the title track of Kal Ho Naa Ho, Karan’s 2003 romantic drama, which he rendered for the film and is reportedly the singer’s favourite song. Also his Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin from Agneepath, another box office hit from Karan in 2012, and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna from his 2006 romantic and musical film by the same name that Sonu sang with Alka Yagnik.

All Hiroo’s friends have received their monogrammed invitations for the special day, along with a bottle of champagne, cake, and chocolates. Karan has been personally inviting their guests to his mother’s special day.

The celebration is said to see the likes of Waheeda Rehman, Neetu Kapoor, Rani Mukerji, Rima Jain, Gauri Khan, Jaya Bachchan with daughter Shweta, Varun Dhawan’s mother, Karuna, Shobha and Ekta Kapoor, socialite Natasha Poonawala, among the others.

Karan took it to Instagram to express his love for Mommy Dearest.

No other media coverage has been witnessed so far. The director is keeping it low-key on the media front, just like he did for Yash and Roohi's Birthday. Oh, how we wish we could be a part of this merriment!
