Now Sonakshi Sinha shoots an item number for Race 3

Sonakshi Sinha is becoming something of the cameo specialist, and we’re not sure if that’s a good thing!

The actress is now pegged to shoot an item song for Race 3, starring her Dabangg hero, Salman and Jacqueline Fernandez. The song will feature Sonakshi alongside the rest of the cast, including Salman and Jacqueline. A special set is being built for the song, which will be choreographed by Remo, and it will be shot over a week in Abu Dhabi this month.

The cast and crew of the action-thriller Race 3 are now in the UAE capital for the film’s final filming schedule. Apparently, a series of adrenaline-charged car chase stunt sequences will be shot alongside the song featuring Sonakshi.

Sonakshi also features in a special song in Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se. The actress has signed up for a cameo in the film. She will come together onscreen with her dashing dad for the very first time. The daddy-daughter duo will be part of the title track of the YPD franchise, which will feature as a medley. It will be choreographed by Remo D’Souza. Sona and Shatru will be part of the aptly chosen track, ‘O mere sona re…’. This song had featured in the 1966 film Teesri Manzil and had been picturized on its lead pair, Shammi Kapoor and Asha Parekh. Needless to say, the main reason for choosing the track for the Sinhas, had to have been the word ‘Sona’ – Sonakshi’s pet name.

And at No.3, there’s Sona’s special appearance in Navdeep Singh’s film. It emerged recently that Sonakshi Sinha had quietly been roped in and had already shot for the same in Rajasthan. Produced by Aanand L Rai and directed by Navdeep Singh of NH10 fame, the makers are keeping Sonakshi’s look and role firmly under wraps for now. She plays the surprise element in the film and they clearly don’t want to spoil it anytime soon. All we do know for now is that she is playing an interesting cameo in this Saif-Madhavan starrer.

Along with the guest spots, Sonakshi has also been shooting for Happy Bhaag Jayegi 2, opposite Punjabi actor Jassi Gill. Thank god for small mercies, eh?!
