Gushing compliments on the sets of dance shows are generally directed towards the talented participants. However, when Ajay Devgn visited the sets of ‘Super Dancer 2’ to promote his upcoming Raid along with the gorgeous Ileana D’Cruz, it was he who was at the receiving end of some serious praise.

Shilpa Shetty Kundra, who is a judge on the dance show, was quick to draw attention to the fact that Ajay was the first actor to do his own stunts. “Ajay is the one who started the stunts mania without using any harness in his superhit debut Phool Aur Kaante. Usually, duplicates are used for doing risky stunts, but Ajay does them all himself,” she praised.
The scene Shilpa was referring to, was Ajay’s introduction scene in his debut. He had performed a split while balancing himself on two bikes. Since then, he has gone on to do several dangerous actions sequences himself in his 25-year-long career so far.

The reticent Ajay looked a tad shy about the fuss but he also added that sometimes he jumped from the third floor of the building on the boxes kept on the ground just for that single perfect shot. What a man!

His upcoming thriller, Raid sees him take on the corrupt. Set in 1981, the film is about the income tax officer Amay Patnaik, played by Devgn, from Lucknow and his most high-profile raid. The actor, who has been juggling with different genres in his films, looks most convincing in the role of a no-nonsense officer. Amay Patnaik also has glimpses of his valiant cop Bajirao Singham, his character in Rohit Shetty’s 2011 superhit Singham.

Raid will see Ajay pair up with Ileana, after they collaborated for Baadshaho. Their onscreen chemistry had won much appreciation in the Milan Luthra directorial. In a recent interview, Ileana revealed that Ajay had recommended her for Raid. She shared that Arjun Kapoor had also recommended a script to her.
