Will Salman cast Sohail in his cop TV series?

After he created one of the most endearing police figures onscreen in Dabangg, Salman Khan’s newest move is bound to make the entire police force his fans for life!

The superstar is said to be in discussions for a new TV series, which will focus on the lives of Mumbai’s police force. Apparently, the protagonist in the series will be a tough cop himself. Casting for the show will begin soon and should all go according to plan, it will go on air by the end of the year.

Naturally, buzz surrounds who will be cast in the lead. While actors would give an arm and a leg to bag the role of the protagonist, it just could be Sohail Khan who could bag the honours. This youngest brother of Salman had been pegged to play the role of one of the best wrestlers of all time – Ghulam Mohammad Baksh a.k.a the Great Gama a.k.a Gama Pahlwan.

Sohail was poised to essay this choice role in a television series that was to be produced by Salman last year. The actor was said to be extremely kicked about the opportunity to be playing this wrestling great, who had not lost a single match in his career spanning more than 50 years. What’s more, other leading TV stars were also reported to play his opponents in the wrestling ring. However, the serial failed to take off for reasons unknown. This after the pilot episode had been shot and shared with the concerned channel. Now it could well be Sohail who will essay the lead in the Salman Khan-produced upcoming series on Sony TV.

For those missing their dose of Salman on the small screen, the megastar is already on board for season three of ‘Dus Ka Dum’. It is expected to start airing this June. The game show will make a comeback after eight years. And yes, we will be watching and judging!
