'Wink sensation' Priya wants to work with Bhansali but offended a Muslim group?

Overnight sensation and already a social media queen, Priya Prakash Varrier winked her way into hearts of many. And while she is currently riding high on her viral fame, her aspirations are even higher.

Priya who will make her debut in Malayalam movie by Omar Lulu called 'Oru Adaar Love' has expressed her love for director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and wanting to work with the infamous director. In an interview with a leading daily, she said, “I would definitely want to work in Bollywood. Sanjay Leela Bhansali is the director I would want to work with. I have got a lot of offers from Malayalam, Tamil and Bollywood. But I have not signed any other movie yet.”

Many actors and actresses in the past have expressed their love for the director. Even after three smashing hits, Ranveer Singh still wants to make more "memorable" films with the director. Can't blame Priya for wanting to work with director, right?

And while the country is going gaga over this winking sensation, a group of Muslim youth from Hyderabad doesn’t quite agree with the actress. The group registered a complaint at the Falaknuma Police Station accusing the makers of the film for hurting their sentiment in the song 'Manikya Malaraya Poovi'.

"We received a complaint from a few men that the viral song's lyrics is hurting the sentiments of Muslims. They have not submitted a video proof and we have asked them to provide us with the same. No FIR has been registered as yet," said Syed Faiyaz, ACP, Falaknuma.

The group has reportedly asked Asaduddin Owaisi, the chief of All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), to intervene in the matter.

Priya Prakash Varrier became the most searched person on Google after 48 hrs of the video being shared overthrowing Bollywood actresses such as Sunny Leone, Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt. Her debut movie will release on March 1, 2018
