PadMan sees a jump of 35% on box office, head to a steady weekend

Akshay Kumar, Radhika Apte and Sonam Kapoor starrer, PadMan, although didn't see a great start on its opening day, has slowly started to mint at the box office.

The film on menstruation earned Rs. 10.26 crore on its opening day and has managed to collect Rs. 13.68 crore on Saturday, taking its total to Rs. 23.94 crore.

Built with a budget of Rs 90 crore, the film received good response from viewers, especially women. With the steady increase in box office collection, the film might enter Rs 50 crore club in its opening weekend itself.

Earlier expected to clash with Padmaavat, the makers decided to shift their date to let Padmaavat have a single release.

PadMan too was expected to clash with Aiyaary on February 9 but due to CBFC certification, the film had to shift its date to February 16.
