Welcome to New York Trailer: KJo and Diljit tickle our funny bones in their comic roles

It finally feels like a new day in Bollywood! This isn't a sequel or a south-Indian or Hollywood remake. It is new, real and GENUINELY FUNNY! The much-talked-about Welcome To New York Trailer is finally out and our day is made.

The 'trailer' was released some days back and we were taken aback by it. And we were skeptical about the entire idea behind it. Though even that was whacky and attention-grabbing. But this, the 'real trailer', is out here to do some real business. It seems they are here to change the comedy-scenario in Bollywood. Unlike most of the comedies that we have seen in the recent days, this is Hilarious.

The trailer starts with the handsome Diljit Dosanjh, a hero, who tries to show his power (like Gabbar, in Sholay) but meets with a nice surprise. He meets Sonakshi aka Jinal Patel who is a fashion designer who wears 'bindi' with her designer gear. Diljit simply calls her a 'Darjee'. The two, apparently winners of a talent competition, board the flight and encounter multiple people. And it is safe to here, Diljit in the film has some identity-crisis. He talks cricket to Sushant Singh Rajput and asks him about 'Sakshi' (cricketer M.S. Dhoni's wife).

If you have been watching and re-watching Koffee with Karan because you just can't get enough of Karan's sass, this is a treat for us. Riteish Deshmukh playing his own self and Karan Johar in a double role are here to steal the show. In their own little quirks and wits, they make us laugh out loud. In one scene, Riteish encounters Karan and Arjun (the twin) and calls himself Rakhi and starts singing 'yeh Bandhan toh pyaar ka bandhan hai'. Lastly, the one and only Rana Daggubati come to Karan's rescue in true blue Baahubali fashion.

VERDICT:
KJo is the best surprise, filled with all his sass and delightfulness.
It is clean. It is fun. And it is sure, here to stay!
