Virushka completed their wedding shenanigans with a classy reception at the St. Regis, attended by the Bollywood and cricketing fraternities. It was the culmination of all the excitement that teed off with their secret wedding on December 11, 2017, in Italy. Followed by a grand reception in Delhi, attended by the Prime Minister and other bigwigs, the party got bigger and bolder with Anushka's B-town friends and Virat's cricket team members, along with various sporting legends, attending the do at the venue in Lower Parel.
The grand reception seemed to echo the couple's floral-themed Tuscany wedding and turned out to be one of the biggest star-studded events of the year. Of course, it was not without its share of contrasts…

Warmth galore
We loved the sight of Anushka’s co-star, the ever-affable Shah Rukh Khan shaking a leg with the couple on the dance floor. Good friends with both, Virat and Anushka, SRK danced with Virat to his popular ‘Chaiyya Chaiyya’, though they admittedly joked and laughed more than showed off any fancy footwork! The happy trio also did the Bhangra together to the song ‘Balle Balle’. Rab ne bana di jodi, indeed!

It’s not always easy to love your family. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and her sister in law, Shweta Bachchan Nanda proved the veracity of this statement on the red carpet at the Virushka wedding reception.
A video that’s going viral shows Amitabh and daughter Shweta posing for the paparazzi. Soon, Abhishek and Aishwarya are spotted moving towards them. The photogs then request the Abh and Ash to join up with Amitabh and Shweta for a photo op. At this point, both Amitabh and Shweta promptly make to leave the scene but are called back and there’s no missing the awkwardness that ensues. Shweta is seen briefly interacting with her brother while Aishwarya flashes a vague smile that does not elicit a response from Shweta. Eventually, the foursome poses together on the red carpet but given the distance between both the ladies, they might well have been on different continents!
