Not long ago, Milind Soman had faced a merciless attack for dating a girl who is decades his junior. He simply shrugged, and flicked off the hate. “I don’t really bother about it all. The people who talk about it don’t really know us, so it’s actually amusing!” he later declared.
He spoke further about the age factor, saying, “If it’s a relationship, it’s about both the people. And I don’t consider age at all for anything — whether its relationships, fitness or health or whatever.”
Speaking about Ankita, whom he has been dating since a year, he shared, “The girl I’m with right now actually likes my restlessness. She accepts that I may be in one place today and a different one tomorrow, or doing one thing today and something else tomorrow. In fact, she’s a bit like that… When you grow older, you realize that all that matters is the connection between two people. What the other person’s dreams are, what they do, what they want to be, that’s their business and you have to give them space for that,” he stated.
Now that he has met just that person, Soman is supposedly keen to take it to the next level – marriage, no less! Wedding bells could chime soon in the New Year. Milind had visited Ankita’s hometown Guwahati last month, to meet her parents. He also attended Ankita’s little nephew’s birthday bash there, and was formally introduced to the Konwar family.
Sources revealed that Milind had timed his visit to coincide with Ankita’s nephew’s birthday, so he could meet her friends, family and relatives, who were in attendance. Buzz goes that the couple now has the blessings of Ankita’s family, and are set to solemnise their relationship in 2018.
The considerable age gap between Milind and Ankita was a matter of some concern for her family. After all, Ankita is nearly half Milind’s age! However, having met Milind, and seeing how content the couple are together, Ankita’s family is putting no spokes in their wheel. Congratulations are in order, we suppose!
