Bollywood wags are confused. Is the Farhan Akhtar-Shraddha Kapoor relationship on or off? Sources say there’s nothing on between the Rock On 2 co-stars. And if there was, it’s certainly over now. Indication of this came when Shraddha is said to have declined an invitation to be part of the Patna Marathon on December 17. The organizers had reportedly invited Farhan because he played a sprinter in the biopic Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, and also the former Olympic athlete on whom this film was made, Flying Sikh Milkha Singh. Shraddha, who is busy with the Prabhas-starrer Saaho, cited chock-a-block dates for not attending the Patna Marathon. But sources said the real reason was she didn’t want to share the stage with Farhan.

Now PeepingMoon.com sources say trouble between Shraddha and Farhan has been brewing for a while and the two are not even on talking terms. The actress is said to be trying to maintain a distance from the director-actor. His studio, Excel Entertainment, signed a film with Shraddha that is now on hold. And that has angered the pretty actress. This was no ordinary film. Concerned about Shraddha’s career after the actress gave three flops this year with Ok Jaanu, Half Girlfriend, and Haseena Parkar, Farhan reportedly began working on a special script that would result in a hit and resurrect Shraddha in Bollywood. But for some reason, he put that film on hold. And hell, as they say, hath no fury than a woman scorned. Shraddha will now not speak to or even see Farhan.

Meanwhile, sources say that Shraddha is working hard to get her career back on track. The box office failures have worried the actress and the buzz in trade circles is that Shraddha has reportedly cut down her fees in a bid to attract producers to sign her for forthcoming films. The grapevine also has it that if there was anything between Shraddha and Farhan at all, it was nipped in the bud by her father, the former Bollywood villain Shakti Kapoor. It is believed Shakti not only objected to Shraddha and Farhan being close since Rock On 2, but he also took exception to the friction between them that arose due to his daughter’s closeness to her alleged former boyfriend and Aashiqui 2 co-star, Aditya Roy Kapur.
