Sushant Singh Rajput believed to have thrown tantrum on Kedarnath set

If Bollywood rumours are to be believed, then Sushant Singh Rajput is reportedly upset with his co-star Sara Ali Khan’s character in their film Kedarnath. The film, which is a love story set against the backdrop of a pilgrimage and the devastating floods that hit Uttarakhand in 2013, is Sara’s debut in Bollywood. From the day it went on the floors in September, Kedarnath has been besieged by one controversy after another. This rumour is the latest.

Sources say that the cast was shown a rough edit of the scenes shot so far. And Sushant thought it was not up to scratch. Reports from the sets of Kedarnath say that the actor refused to shoot further. He expressed his displeasure to the film’s director Abhishek Kapoor and is also said to have touched upon Sara’s character which he found lacking in depth. Abhishek, who reportedly had one major crisis when the crew is said to have walked out en masse, is believed to have assured his lead actor that he would make changes.
Apparently, shooting on Kedarnath has resumed on a tense note. Nobody knows if Abhishek really intends to make changes to the story and Sara’s character after Sushant’s tantrum, or whether the beleaguered director was just trying to pacify the actor and get him back to work. Meanwhile, as is already known, Sara’s debut has unfortunately got delayed after Kedarnath’s release got pushed to December 2018. The newbie is in a race with Jhanvi Kapoor whose debut film Dhadak goes on the floors today.

Kedarnath producer Prernaa Arora of KriArj Entertainment announced the film would hit the screens on December 21, 2018. The flood scenes are an important part of the film and are going to be shot on a set in Mumbai in February 2018. The makers are using a VFX team from LA to make sure the magnitude of the natural disaster is shown dramatically on 70mm. Thousands of gallons of water will be required to create the flood effect. This sequence is only expected to be wrapped up in June 2018. So, Sara Ali Khan’s huge fan following on Instagram have a long wait to see her debut film on screen.
