Miss World Manushi Chillar meets PM Modi

The newly crowned Miss World 2017, Manushi Chhillar met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday in Delhi. She was accompanied by her parents and her brother. The Press Information Bureau of India tweeted a picture of their meet captioning the same, “Ms. Manushi Chhillar, Miss World 2017 calls on PM Narendra Modi in New Delhi.”

The pageant queen was dressed in an ivory contemporary Anarkali churidaar by Indian fashion brand Kehia. She accessorized her look with Amrapali jewellery that upped her style. Her hair was pulled back in a neat, center-parted low bun. Needless to say, Ms. Chhillar’s fashion game was on point.

Later in the day, the Haryana girl flew down to Kurukshetra in a helicopter to meet Manohar Lal Khattar, Haryana’s Cheif Minister. To her ensemble, she added her Miss World Crown and the sash.

The chief minister expressed his happiness on Twitter and to announce Miss World, Manushi Chhillar as the brand ambassador of the "Anemia free campaign".

It was after 17 long years that India had won the Miss World title, previously bagged by none other than Priyanka Chopra in 2000. Manushi is the sixth Indian woman to have won the title on November 18, 2017.
