Where most other young and upcoming actresses would be thrilled to bits to be compared to the gorgeous Katrina Kaif, Fatima Sana Shaikh is something of an exception. The lass is actually irked by the comparison, which started after she posted images of herself on Instagram, which bore a strong resemblance to Kat. She was sporting a similar blue saree and yellow blouse, which bore a strong resemblance to the attire Katrina had sported in the images she had posted two days before Fatima did. Naturally, with Katrina’s images top of the mind, comparisons would be drawn but no, Ms. Shaikh is not happy about this at all.
She has supposedly been ranting about how this comparison is completely unnecessary. She believes they are entirely different personalities with radically dissimilar tastes and share nothing in common. Just because she is seen sporting similar clothing choices, it does not imply she is seeking style inspiration from Kaif, she will have you know. We hear you, Shaikh, but fail to see what the fuss is all about. It was only the similarity in their attire that was spoken about, anyway, so why the hullabaloo?

The dear girl does appear to have something of a sizeable chip on her shoulder. Blame it on working with the hugely gifted Aamir Khan in Dangal and his mentoring, but she does appear to have a slightly elevated impression of herself. What’s more, in the case of Katrina, both actresses also star in the Aamir Khan-Amitabh Bachchan opus, Thugs… which does add an edge of competition among the ladies. This was boosted by Aamir’s recent comment in which he revealed, “Even in Thugs of Hindostan, the central role is the girl who is being played by Fatima Sana Shaikh. The story of the film is about her.” The implication was that Katrina would only be seen doing a few songs in the film. Naturally, those comments haven’t gone down well with Kat one bit. Now, with Fatima’s irritation at being compared to her making news, we do see Kat on the brink of losing her cool – and we wouldn’t blame her at all!
