Is Salman the real reason why Salim Khan won’t write tell-all memoirs?

We can totally empathize with Salim Khan when he says that he has turned down all offers from publishing houses to write a tell-all autobiography. One half of the erstwhile Salim-Javed scriptwriter combo, the man is a treasure trove of information, most of the scandalous sort. While his memoirs would be a guaranteed bestseller, they would also rub too many people the wrong way, and according to the famous father of the even more famous Salman Khan, he does not want to hurt anyone and have to mollify them at this point in his life.

How well he must know that feeling! Salim sa’ab has spent a good many days of his life mollifying the nation after some act or statement by his son created an uproar – and there have been a whole lot of them!

From imploring the country to not take Salman seriously as he was ignorant of the issue when Salman had tweeted ostensibly in support of 1993 Mumbai blasts accused Yakub Memon, to claiming Salman was innocent in the hit and run case but was being persecuted for being a celebrity, it has always been Daddy to the defence.

Given Salman’s penchant for effortlessly creating controversy, Salim saa’ab has had his work cut out. After Salman’s “I felt like raped woman” statement alluding to the rigorous action sequences for Sultan created an uproar, it was Salim Khan’s responsibility to come out and apologize for the statement. And when legendary sprinter Milkha Singh spoke out against Salman’s appointment as a goodwill ambassador of the Indian Olympic contingent, it was Daddy who rushed in again to defend his son. He had to rush to defend Salman's bonhomie with Narendra Modi, and his alleged involvement in the Black Buck case.

Like we said, these are just some of the instances of mollification Khan Sr. has been compelled to do. Any surprise he wants to stay far from any more controversy?
