Did Sushant’s rush to complete schedule drive Gattu around the bend?

Don’t be fooled by the cosy post-wrap pics of Sushant Singh Rajput and director Abhishek Kapoor, with Sara Ali Khan. In fact, it is being suggested that things are far from well between SSR and Gattu, as he is known to friends. In fact, there was supposedly a serious fallout between the actor and the director during the schedule which has just been completed. We hear that producer Prerna Arora too is miffed with Sushant over his behaviour. So, can we presume that SSR was being difficult, dragging his heels, delaying the schedule? Erm… quite the opposite, actually! Apparently, the actor has had his foot on the accelerator, rushing to finish the schedule as soon as possible, so he could get to the sets of his next film, Drive. This unnecessary over-speeding understandably threw Gattu into a tizz. While he wanted to nurture the film, draw his best out of the actors, and craft the scenes with patience and beauty, despite the odds like the rough weather and terrain, there was the leading man, who apparently wanted nothing more than to just get it over with as soon as possible!

Despite both Abhishek and producer Prerna Arora sitting Sushant down and making him aware of how his need for speed was ruining the ride, SSR stayed unmoved. The filmmaker duo was baffled by his refusal to give them a longer shooting schedule; after all, he was no longer on board for Ajay Kapoor’s Chandamama either, right? But no, apparently Sushant believes he is still onboard for that one, and that there simply wasn’t time to waste – not even on giving Kedarnath that bit of extra attention and time it deserved. Date issues combined with creative differences, and the attitude that SSR is developing a reputation for… no, this schedule cannot be termed an unmitigated success!
“Creating magic up in the mountains,” as Gattu put it, couldn’t have been easy at all!
