Netizens have been awwwing over the images that have emerged, showing a grey-haired Anil Kapoor craning his neck to sneak a peek into Sonam’s phone. This cutesy moment was captured at the Vogue Beauty awards, which also saw daddy Kapoor presenting the Fashion Icon Of The Year Award to his stylista daughter. Sonam, looking ravishing in an emerald green Fouad Sarkis dress, was clearly unaware of her father’s sly antics, but then the girl is probably used to this over-protective behaviour from her dad, who makes no secret of wanting to be up to date with everything that is happening in his kids’ lives. Yep, under that youthful, full of beans persona, he’s quite the mama hen, apparently. And he’s quite blasé about this too. In fact, when these images were published online, Anil happily shared the picture on his Instagram account with the caption, “Overprotective father caught on camera.” The original Instagram post had been captioned “Guns don't kill people... dads with pretty daughters do” and Anil was more than happy to agree, commenting, “I guess I am guilty as charged.”

Completing this cosy scenario was Sonam Kapoor's alleged boyfriend, Anand Ahuja. The lad was quick to join in, adding in the comments section: “It's totally allowed.”

Now do we still need to wait for a confirmation from the couple about their loved-up relationship status?!

The couple has made no secret of their fondness for each other, even as they refuse to spell things out. Social media has been witness to umpteen examples of their togetherness. Not long ago, Sonam had posted a video on Instastory with her rumoured BF, in which they are evidently experiencing internet problems while Skyping. While he is heard saying, “I can't see you,” she writes, “The perils of slow Internet @anandahuja.” She also asked, “Anand, why do you look haggard?” To which Anand again replies, “I can't see you!”
