It has been seven long years, but we imagine Hrithik must still feel a twinge of bittersweet emotion… Barbara Mori, the Mexican stunner he had purportedly fallen in love with on the sets of their film Kites, has found love yet again. The actress, who had a brief stint in Bollywood that didn’t go beyond the single Anurag Basu directorial, appears in a happy space again. She is evidently in a live-in relationship with Mexican businessman Oscar Aguirre, the new man in her life, and life seems beautiful for the woman whose affair with Hrithik had nearly ended his marriage to Sussanne several years ago.

Back in 2010, every tongue tattled about the sizzling chemistry Hrithik shared with his stunning leading lady – both onscreen and off it. The heavy-duty kisses for the camera had been matched by a real-life connection that appeared no less intense. Back then, Barbara and her brother had formed a close-knit foursome with Hrithik and Sussanne as the group mixed work with play. Barbara had dubbed her stint of working with Hrithik “an amazing experience,” as he helped her overcome her fears and develop the confidence to pull off daring stunts and certain scenes such as the underwater swimming sequence. She called him a ‘very good friend’, and it was all too clear that the two had developed a bond that went deeper than mere co-stars.

However, despite this enviable chemistry, Kites went astray at the box office and was panned by critics. Barbara flew back to Mexico. The scandal surrounding their affair dissipated and Hrithik returned to the apparently forgiving arms of his then-wife.
