Aashiqui 2 director Mohit Suri has been busy writing his next for a while now and according to a recent report, good friend Aditya Roy Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar have been roped in for the film which revolves around a father-son relationship.

According to a daily, after getting Farhan onboard Mohit signed Aditya Roy Kapoor to play a pivotal role in the film. “He needed a younger actor and when he narrated the script to Adi, he loved it and immediately said yes. Also, after having worked together in Aashiqui 2, both the actor and the director wanted to repeat the magic and possibly the success of their last film together. Farhan and Aditya will have separate tracks that will eventually come together," said a source to the daily.

However, speaking to Peeping Moon the director rubbishes the reports. “I am yet to finish the final draft of the film,” he asserts, and adds, “I don’t cast actors before I complete my script. Farhan liked the idea but everything is very different before signing happens, it is nascent at the moment.” says Mohit.  On collaborating with Aditya, Mohit clears the air, “I am working with Aditya on something else altogether and not for this film.”

After the debacle of his last film Half Girlfriend which released in May starring Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor, Mohit has become cautious with his next. He fears that even if he finishes his latest script, he might not end up making it; and in the same breath, he says it’s too early to confirm anything at this stage!

This is for the first time that Farhan and Mohit would be working together, whereas the director and Aditya have worked in Aashiqui 2. If at all the director manages to convince both the actors to work in his next it could be quite a pairing. On the other hand, there were also reports that Shraddha could be part of this film but that too hasn’t been confirmed by the director.
