Perhaps for the very first time guests got to see a pregnant lady on the catwalk. Yes, designer duo Gauri & Nainika opted for famed fashion influencer Masoom Minawala to tell their trendy tale at FDCI x Lakme Fashion Week at Jio World Centre. Masoom was dressed in pristine white and was quite a sight, drawing tremendous applause from the packed house.

Happy to note that the designer duo uses a wide variety of sustainable offerings from R/Elan’s sought-after fabric collections. Well known for its eco-friendly recycled fabrics that are made entirely from waste plastic bottles, the designer duo is happy to introduce fabrics that are entirely biodegradable.

The chosen fabrics for the show were GreenGold, EcoGold and Freeflow. The GreenGold fabric is made from 100 per cent used PET bottles. Thanks to this innovation, PET bottles can be reduced from ending up in landfills and oceans, making  GreenGold one of the most sought-after fabrics among leading brands, retailers, fashion designers and style enthusiasts.

FreeFlow fabric makes you feel like a million dollars, providing fluidity and giving you a most luxurious fall and drape, so you can look your best, effortlessly. EcoGold is a true warrior of Mother Nature. It is bio-enhanced to break down into natural elements and plays a huge role in saving fashion waste from piling in landfills.

All in all, this was a truly stylish show.
