It was a wondrous water world that unfolded before you with the multitude of models effortlessly walking on water, as it were, showing off some stunning ensembles reflecting the ocean theme and made out of fabrics upcycled from plastics from the sea. The demi-couture collection seamlessly embodied the theme of #DefineToRedefine inspired by Lakmé’s beauty statement of the season and endorsing the brand’s latest launch, the Lakmé Absolute Lip Precision Paint Pot which provides superior definition and precision on the lips.
Of course, Kareena Kapoor Khan created ripples as she stepped into the sprawling seascape, dressed in an ivory and light gold coloured, heavily embellished sculpted gown that incorporated Gaurav Gupta’s precise signature sculpting with a new fan boning.
The showcase was all about embracing change and stepping out of your comfort zone and redefining life as we know it, very much in synergy with Gaurav Gupta’s design philosophy.
Yes, it was a line that reflected definition and precision … as seen in the sharp lines and edges across the endless forms and silhouettes, echoing the boundless ocean. intricate hand embroideries with hints of metallic shimmer in strikingly bold colours inspired by the many shades of the ocean.
And, by the way, Kareena Kapoor Khan’s favourite shade from the lipstick range is Dahlia Pink.
