Day 5 at the Lakme Fashion Week S/R 2019 runway witnessed an array of labels featuring their couture collections and festive wear. With pastel hues and subdued glamour being their core elements, we saw a lot of easy-breezy, ready-to-wear ensembles for the summer festive season.

Designer Shriya Som showcased her Summer/Resort '19 collection at the runway yesterday.

Pastel and peachy hues ruled her colour palette while we saw a lot of floral details and shimmery highlights on the traditionally strong but sartorially contemporary ensembles.

Ruffled dresses, flower patches and tassels made a comeback in summer hues, while also letting trends like jackets-on-lehengas get a breather.

Showstopper Lisa Haydon did the strut for the designer wearing one of the lehengas from her current line.

Wearing a shimmery, princess-cut blouse and a texture-detailed skirt, Lisa looked absolutely ethereal.

Shehla Khan's showcase started with a bang when Isabelle Kaif sashayed down the runway wearing her leaf-detailed lehenga in a gorgeous golden hue from her recent collection, Diana.

Diana is an eclectic fusion of all of Princess Diana's trends with Indian festive-wear to make for couture creations.

Big shoulder pads on tops, off-shoulder or bow blouses paired with fluid, yet extravagant lehenga skirts with textured, shimmer or embellished details were seen on the runway.

Peaches, pinks mixed with gold, black and silver were seen on the runway. Making glamorous look elegant and summer-apt, Shehlaa by Shehla Khan has our summer festive season sorted.

Bhumi Pednekar turned show stopper for the designer as she strutted down the runway wearing a black, 3D leaf-detailed lehenga on the aisle. Paired with a silver, embellished blouse and a shimmery, ruffled dupatta, Bhumi looked the effervescent diva she is on the runway.

Making us coo yet again this season, ace filmmaker Karan Johar walked the aisle yet again, this time for Shehla Khan. Wearing one of her recent designs, Karan sported a tweed jacket with embellishments and pearl details at the runway.

As the show concluded, the showstoppers sashayed yet again, this time with Shehla Khan herself to make for a picture-perfect ending for the show.
