LFW: Anita Dongre Grassroot and Antar Agni for Raymond empower north-eastern weaver's clusters while supporting eco-friendly fashion

Day 2 at Lakme Fashion Week is all about sustainable and eco-friendly fashion and we're deeming it as the future of India. Chic, stylish, comfortable and almost affordable, the day had a lot of khadi, handloom and handcrafted ensembles to offer.

In association with United Nations and Lakme Fashion Week, Anita Dongre Grassroot by House of Anita Dongre and Antar Agni for Raymond showcased their current collection and we never imagined eco-friendly fashion could look so good! Check out the collection here:

Weaved and created by clusters in the north-east, mainly Assam, this collaboration empowered the unreachable artisans with employment and a chance to work their way in the market with the leading labels supporting their cause.

Made from their handlooms and textiles, this initiative doesn't only empower the clusters but also proves for an environment-friendly clothing option. With Raymond and Anita Dongre backing this up, we have a sure reason to believe these will reach the markets and the consumers extensively.
