The TV industry is bereaved as two noted performers breathed their last leaving a deep void in the hearts of their friends, family, fraternity and fans. Jodha Akbar actor Manisha Yadav left for the heavenly abode after suffering a brain haemmorhage whereas noted Pakistani comedian Umer Sharif also passed away after being critically ill for quite some time.
Jodha Akbar actor Manisha Yadav dies, co-star Paridhi Sharma left heartbroken
Manisha Yadav, known for playing Salima Begum in the Zee TV show Jodha Akbar, died on Friday due to brain haemorrhage. Her co-star Paridhi Sharma who played the lead role of Jodha Bai expressed her grief through an Instagram story. She wrote, “This news is so heartbreaking. RIP @manisha_mannu.”
While speaking to a leading daily, Paridhi revealed that she got to know about the tragic news by way of a WhatsApp group made up of female actors on the show. She said, “I wasn’t in constant touch with her after our show went off air. But we have a WhatsApp group which is named Mughals and all the actresses who were begums in the show are a part of that group. So that’s how we stay in touch and if anything important is to be shared about anyone’s life, we do that on the group. I got to know about this yesterday on the group and I was shocked.”
She further said that she is especially saddened over the fact that Manisha had an infant, whose pictures she regularly shared on her Instagram profile. She further said, “Her energy was always high and she was a chirpy person. We had a great time shooting together for the show. I remember she was always full of life. Hearing about her death is really saddening for me and what’s even more bothering is that she has a one-year-old baby. My heart goes out to her family.”

Veteran Pakistani comedian Umer Sharif passed away on October 2 in Germany. The 66-year-old was critically ill and had undergone a heart bypass surgery last year. His condition was constantly on the decline since then and was diagnosed with memory loss and was confined to a wheelchair. Kapil Sharma paid a heartfelt tribute to Sharif and wrote, “Alvida legend may your soul Rest In Peace #UmerShareef”. Umer started his career as a stand-up comedian at the age 14 and went o to rule hearts with his humour in the 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s. His death was announced by Pakistan’s ambassador to Germany, Dr Mohammad Faisalm who tweeted, “With deep sorrow it is announced that Mr. Umer Sharif has passed away. In #Germany. Our deepest condolences to his family and friends. Our CG is present at the hospital to assist the family in every way.”
