‘You can also add that I refused to shoot in a slum,’ quips Rubina Dilaik as she laughs off rumours of stalling her debut film Ardh shoot due to unreasonable demands

Rubina Dilaik has responded to rumours of her throwing tantrums on the sets of her debut film Ardh and refusing to shoot unless her demands were met. A report claimed that the actress and Bigg Boss 1 winner had demanded a ‘double-door vanity van’ to accommodate her staff and refused to step out of her car until she got her wish fulfilled.

Rubina decided to address the rumour head-on and responded to it with humour. She told a leading daily in a text message, “Ha ha aahaa. To make it more meaty, you can also add that I refused to shoot in the real location which is a slum area - and left the set!"

Director of Ardh, Palash Muchhal also clarified to the daily and said that it was true that Rubina waited a long time inside her car despite having arrived on time for the shoot. However, it was not because of any unlawful demand or tantrum but because of incessant rain. He said, “It was because it was raining."

Last month, Rubina had announced her debut film in an Instagram post and stated that she had commenced shooting for it. She had captioned the poste, “New beginnings.” Ardh is directed by singer and music composer Palash Muchhal and also satrs Rajpal Yadav, Hiten Tejwani and Kulbhushan Kharbanda.
