Nakuul Mehta voices the common man’s suffering amid the rising COVID-19 spike with a hard-hitting poem that takes potshots at the government

Nakuul Mehta today took to social media to recite a poem that speaks about the disastrous handling of the second wave of COVID-19. The poem takes a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s inept handing of the situation. The coronavirus pandemic in its double-mutated variant has wreaked havoc in the country with number of cases increasing day-by-day. The poem recited by Nakuul is written by Ajay Singh that voiced the common man’s suffering in the wake of the pandemic.

Sharing the video, Nakuul captioned it, “A short epilogue for our poetry special #TooMuchDemocracy “ : @ajax.singh.”

A rough translation of few lines from the poem goes as follows, “"The one who has always spread poison in the air, how do you expect him to now provide oxygen for you? Someone who has triggered a competition between kabristans and samshans, how do you expect him to build hospitals for you?"
