Deven Bhojani's 'Bhakharwadi' to go off air on August 28; Adnan Khan's and Eisha Singh's 'Ishq Subhan Allah' makers to pull the plug soon?

The COVID-19 pandemic hit the entertainment industry hard as all shoots were stalled for a long time. When serials finally got back to work, the audience did not react to the daily sopas the same way due to which the TRP of a few shows dropped down. Now, two TV shows will be going off air soon.

SAB TV show Bhakharwadi that launched in February 2019 will air its last episode on August 28. The decision is taken after the show’s poor ratings after new episodes aired in the unlock phase. The daily, starring Deven Bhojani in the lead role, will be replaced by Tera Yaar Hoon Main.

Speaking to a leading daily, Bhakharwadi producer JD Majethia shared that several serials have faced the brunt post lockdown as viewing habits among the audience has changed. He also shared that most channels are pushing out new serials at least three weeks before IPL, to get enough time to connect with viewers. “Most shows have not been able to bring back viewers which they had before the lockdown due to various reasons like change in viewing habits or new timings. Also, news channels are being watched at prime time these days. Bhakharwadi is one of the shows. Also, all channels are launching shows, which were in pipeline pre-lockdown, at least three weeks before the IPL to get a decent time to connect with the audience. So with a heavy heart, we will have to wind up Bhakharwadi this Friday.”

Not only this but another show might also go off air soon that airs on ZEE TV. Adnan Khan and Eisha Singh’s starrer Ishq Subhan Allah is quite loved by the audience but unfortunately there are reports that the show might go off-air soon. As per the reports, the show had witnessed a drop in the TRP before the lockdown and the makers were ready to pull the plug. The cast and crew have not been given notice yet but the show is expected to wrap up some time in September with the finale airing in the first week of October.
