Were you uprooting terrorists or trees: Navjot Singh Sidhu asks amid speculations of his return to The Kapil Sharma Show

Navjot Singh Sidhu has become controversy’s favourite child. Ironically, his four liners made him a star on television and now it is his words that have landed him in a soup once again. Today, in a tweet he questioned the government regarding the air strikes in Balakot region. The air strikes were conducted on the terror camps being run by terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed in the wake of the recent Pulwama attack in which more than 40 CRPF jawans were killed.

Sidhu asked on Twitter whether India’s counter-terrorism operation in Pakistan had indeed killed hundreds. He joined a bevvy of opposition leaders who are questioning the government on the air strikes. His comment came a day after reports surfaced that The Kapil Sharma Show’s producer Salman Khan was keen on having Sidhu back on board the show.

Sidhu was sacked from the show and his place was taken by Archana Puran Singh when he made his controversial comment on Pulwama attack that received severe backlash and criticism from the audience who threatened to unsubscribe the channel and boycott the programme altogether if he was not removed from the show. Well, Twitter is once again at war with Sidhu’s words and we wonder what will happen to his intended comeback to the show. Check out a few tweets below:

On the other hand, Air Chief Marshal Birender Singh Dhanoa had said in a statement that India’s warplanes had stuck their intended targets and the force was not in a position to divulge details about the number of casualties in the air strikes. He said the Air Force did not count human casualties, but targets hit or missed.
