Television sensation, Hina Khan made her debut as Akshara in the long-running show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai in 2009. Instantly, she became a household name and an ideal bahu. However, she quit the show in 2016 to explore other options. Lately, she has been making headlines after bagging the iconic role of Komolika in Ekta Kapoor’s reboot version of the decade-old show, Kasautii Zindagi Kay.

A leading daily reported that Hina might make an appearance in her debut show once again. The show is currently led by Hina’s character Akshara’s daughter – Naira (played by Shivangi Joshi) and her husband Kartik (played by Mohsin Khan). Currently, the couple has parted ways due to growing complexities. Apparently, Hina was said to share the screen with her on-screen daughter, and guide her against losing hopes on marriage, in a dream sequence.

The producers of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai could have chosen to use existing footage of the show for this sequence. However, the daily suggested that there were high chances of them approaching her. When another entertainment portal contacted Hina about the same, she said, “Not true… it’s never going to happen.” For the uninitiated, Hina left the show after a constant tiff with the makers and on a negative note.

The actress is gearing up Kasautii Zindagi Kay 2. It will also see Erica J Fernandez stepping into the shoes of Shweta Tiwari who played Prerna in the original version. Parth Samthaan is essaying the role of Anurag Basu which was previously played by Cezanne Khan. The original show had Ronit Roy in a negative role as Mr. Bajaj. No official announcement has been made about who will be taking over his character. However, Barun Sobti seems to be the leading choice.
