Ekta Kapoor is taking the world by storm, one tweet at a time. After ruling the television space for more than a decade, she is planning to launch the revamped version of the hit show Kasautii Zindagii Kay which starred Shweta Tiwari, Ronit Roy, and Cezzanne Khan.

Recently, it was announced that reprising the iconic role of Prerna Bajaj will be actress Erica Fernandez of Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi. While there are rumours of Barun Sobti stepping in the shoes of Anurag Basu, our questions need a different answer. From twisting her mane to rolling her eyes in style, from glossy lipstick to big bright eyes, there's one television character that has become iconic in all the trues senses -Komolika! *cue tune*

The iconic antagonist in the original Kasautii Zingadii Kay was played by Urvashi Dholakia. Amidst the rumours of multiple actresses being considered for the role, Ekta clarified that there was indeed just one name in her mind that would do justice to what Urvashi brought on the screen a decade ago. Ekta took to Twitter to announce that she has already approached only one actress and is hoping that the deal strikes. But nobody could fathom the name.

Rumours were rife that the actress is none other than Hina Khan. Hina, who rose to fame after her stint in the Bigg Boss house in season 11, was in talks with the makers of the show. And now, the BIG NEWS that has turned out to be completely true is, Hina has signed the dotted line yesterday evening in a meeting with the Star Plus' and Ekta's production house.

However, an official announcement is yet to be made from Balaji camp.

Hina first gained popularity through her role as Akshara in the on-going show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. She dropped out of the show and went on to venture into non-fiction shows like Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi. Now, with Kasautii reboot in the cards, she will return to fiction after two long years.
