Recently, rumours flying said that among number of the shows Star Plus is taking down, Nakuul Mehta and Surbhi Chandna's Ishqbaaaz might be one of the few. To add to this, a video of Naamkarann fame, Zain Iman went viral wherein he is seen hinting that channel might pull the plug on Ishqbaaaz.

Although producer Gul Khan denied any such claims, the numbers continued to fall for the show. So much so that fans put out the hashtag #WeWantShivikaStory and the news began trending in no time.

Looks like the makers of the TV show have heard the audience's demand. In a recent video clip posted by Nakuul Mehta, the two can be seen in their respective characters, Shivaay and Anika, talking about fate.

Shivaay asks Anika, if they go back in time to where they first met and change everything, would they still meet. To which a confident Anika says that no force can stop two lovers who are meant to be together.

Well, there you have it folks! The fans have finally got what they wanted... an Ishqbaaaz reboot. But, will it be just as good as their original story? Only the sands of time will tell.
