Shantanu Maheshwari goes global; impresses Jennifer Lopez on World of Dance 2

Khatron Ke Khiladi winner Shantanu Maheshwari is currently on a high! Shantanu and his dance crew the Desi Hoppers went International in 2015 after representing India in the World of Dance Championship and bagging the title and were special performers at Hollywood’s reality show America’s Got Talent. They also represented India at Asian Battleground, Asia’s largest and most famous dance competition, and placed India at a 3rd spot. The championship was judged by Hollywood stars Mari Koda and Philip Chbeeb from the Step Up film series, who were very impressed with Shantanu and the boys!

And taking his international acclaim to the next level, Shantanu and his crew became the first ever Indian dance crew to compete on NBC's dance reality show World of Dance 2 which is hosted by Jenna Dewan and judged by actor-choreographer Derek Hough, singer Ne-Yo and Jenny from the block, a.k.a. the Latina beauty, Jennifer Lopez.

Desi Hoppers went on to score the highest in the group round and needless to say, the judges were far than impressed by these 5 hunks, i.e. Macedon Dmello, Niraj Lama, Rohan Virus, Mohit Antony and Shantanu himself.

Speaking about the same, Shantanu revealed that, "Our crew is extremely proud to have got a chance to represent India in the first 3 rounds of such a huge platform. All of us absolutely credit our mentor and the founder of the crew Palki Malhotra, for supporting us through all those rigorous late-night rehearsals before going off to LA, and showing so much faith and determination in each one of us. The entire experience of being on the world of dance and getting to showcase our dancing skills in front of such amazing talents like Jennifer Lopez, Derek Hough, Neyo, Paula Abdul and Jenna Dewan was surreal for us all! Our dance performances had a mix of our culture with the west, and were highly appreciated by all of them."

There is no slowing down for this prodigy.
