Television actor Jay Soni and his wife Pooja Shah have welcomed their first child into the world, a baby girl. Apparently, the baby was born on April 18, 2018, at one of the hospitals in Mumbai. The entire family is highly elated with the birth of the newest member.  When contacted, Jay Soni confirmed the news by saying, “Yes, I have become a proud father of a baby girl; however I can’t talk about it as I am in the hospital right now.”

The actor could not give a bigger statement as he was clearly on cloud nine and was preoccupied with parental duties and being a caring husband. In January, this year Jay and Pooja had held a baby shower which was attended by top television personalities. Many pictures and videos from the function were circulated in the social media by TV celebs who could not hold back their happiness for the parents-to-be.

Jay Soni became a household name after his stint in the popular serial Sasural Genda Phool and Baa Bahoo Aur Baby. He got hitched to Pooja in 2014, it was an arranged marriage. He tied the knot in a private ceremony in 2014 in the presence of his close friends and family members.

While talking to a leading daily earlier Jay had revealed details about his impending fatherhood. He had said, “The baby is due in April. I didn't disclose the news earlier, as we are not allowed to share it till the first trimester is completed. I am extremely excited."

The actor was last seen in the serial Bhaag Bakuul Bhaag but he is best remembered for Sasural Genda Phool. Jay and Pooja had participated in the seventh season of dance reality show Nach Baliye. We are sure now that his daughter is born he will be busy with his parenting duties but hopefully will make a return on the small screen soon.
