Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi actor Shakti Arora took the name of his show literally and got hitched to his longtime girlfriend Neha Saxena on April 6, 2018, in an extremely private ceremony. The news comes as a shock as the wedding was kept tightly under wraps for more than a week. Revealing details about his marriage Shakti Arora told a leading daily, “We had the haldi ceremony in the morning and pheras in the evening. It was a private affair with only our immediate families in attendance. Both of us have been relatively free over the past few months and so, decided to take the plunge. It seemed like the perfect time, as I am planning to take up something soon and will become busy.”
Shakti shared an adorable picture with his wife Neha on his Instagram account today, and the photo speaks volumes about the comfort and love that the two must have for each other. The marriage news comes as a shock as a few months back it was reported that the two had parted ways. However, in an interaction with a leading daily Shakti had spoken about Neha and said, “All is well with us. I have become thick-skinned, and rumours about my split, marriage and kids don’t affect me anymore. It’s part and parcel of this profession.”

The couple had been in the relationship for a long time and got engaged after two years of courtship. Previously Shakti had spoken about the delay in his marriage plans and had said, “I feel that I am not yet ready for marriage. Neha and I want to focus on our careers. We had a roka four years ago, toh koi kahiin bhaaga nahi jaa raha hai. We will take the plunge when the time is right.”
When Shakti was asked about his feelings after getting married, he said, “The feeling is yet to sink in and I don’t feel like a married man yet. Abhi tak kuch samajh nahi aa raha, but it’s a nice feeling.” The couple is reported to be heading to Norway for their honeymoon.
