Karan Paranjape, who played the role of Jignesh in popular TV soap Dill Mill Gaye, has passed away earlier on Sunday morning. The 26-year-old actor was found dead in his apartment by his mother. Though, the reason of his death remains unknown.

On learning the news of his friend’s sudden demise, Karan Wahi shared a picture on his Instagram story that read, “U will be missed dear JIGS.  @karanparanjape Rest in peace, my friend”. Sehban Azmi, who was a part of the soap shared pictures from the past days and wrote, “Gone too soon, my friend. May your soul rest in peace. You will always be remembered.” Another picture said, “@karanparanjape you will be missed.”

Paranjpe, who got his share of fame through Dill Mill Gaye, also featured in another hit show Sanjeevni, where his character was also named Jignesh. One of the producers of the show shared, “He was a fun-loving guy. After his short stint in acting, he moved towards working with a music channel, where he was working on a talk show with celebs. He was doing quite well for himself. The news of the death has come as a shock to all of us. While we were not in constant touch, once you work with someone, you do form a close bond. This was definitely not an age for him to leave.”
