5 reasons why we are not lapping up the ‘Kapil Sharma Drama Show’!

Kapil Sharma expectedly played to the gallery at the trailer launch of his film Firangi at PVR Juhu, but he did strike one note of truth…

“I had depression, started drinking…”
After his show, ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ (Sony TV) went off-air, Kapil apparently took a bad hit. He admits that he had depression. “I locked myself in my office for 12 days after I took a break from my show and started drinking. Few of my close friends who knew the whole situation, asked me to get out of the office, they tried to cheer me up. But that didn’t happen.”
We are a tad confused here… Weren’t Kapil’s drinking issues the cause of all his troubles in the first place??

“I would get anxiety attacks and would be nervous”
People creating controversies where there should have been none, further added to the hurt, he claims. “They said Bollywood actors were upset because I made them wait on the sets. I would come late because I would get anxiety attacks and would be nervous. But I would call and apologise to them later, and that’s the reason the stars came back to shoot with me.” Did they really??

“I was yelling at Chandan, Sunil came in between…”

He practically dismisses his issues with co-comedian Sunil Grover as a fight that never happened.
It had made headlines in March this year when Kapil Sharma had allegedly beaten up Sunil mid-air, on-board an Indian Airlines flight.
He explains it thus… “I was very stressed because we had been on a hectic schedule. One of the actors I had worked with had lost his life, the previous night. I really wanted to cancel the Australia tour but I couldn’t because the tickets were sold out. That’s not all, one of my crew members, a girl had had an issue with my childhood friend Chandan, she had come crying to me. I was angry at Chandan and shouted at him. Mera Sunil ke saath to koi jhagda hua hi nahi. I was yelling at Chandan and he just came in between.”
Moral of the story: when the boss is yelling, just mind your own business and don’t try intervening to help.

“If Sunil was here, he would surely have come”
Claiming that Sunil is his dear friend, he declared, “I love Sunil and will surely love to work with him again. In fact, I wanted him to launch my trailer but he is in Canada for his show. If he was here, he would surely have come.”
Now that, we would really like to see!

“There are some relationships you cannot fit into terms like ‘affair’…”
His response to questions about his alleged break-up with Ginni, was a typical, “Very nice question but no comments.” Laughing at his own cleverness, he added that he wasn’t so open as to discuss these matters as well. Aaj bhi bohot pyaar hai unke sath, he declared, adding, “There are some relationships that you cannot fit into terms like affair, dating and breakup.”

“I am 36 now and all I can say is that I have a lot of shortcomings. I am used to taking big life decisions but sometimes I have issues on deciding the small things in life.”
Now that is something we applaud!
