Brahmastra Day 1 Box Office prediction: Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s film becomes biggest opener on non-holiday post pandemic, all set to end Bollywood’s dry spell

Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra Part One: Shiva has finally opened in theatres today, September 9. The film was released after a long wait and is expected to end the dry spell that has gripped Bollywood’s box office. The film’s advance booking has already garnered a lot of moolah for the makers and going by the reviews about the VFX and visual spectacle the film is, it is predicted that Brahmastra will be a money-spinner. Brahmastra’s advance booking was off to a great start and reportedly till 11.30 pm on September 6, approximately 1.3 lakh tickets were sold at national multiplex chains including PVR, Inox and Cineplex. The film has already earnerd Rs 18 crores in advance booking till last night and its first day collections are supposed to be a whopping figure.

The film already has opened on 8250 screens across the country and has become the highest opening film on a non-holiday. Film has overall opened to 50-55% opening which is huge and as per early trends should collect Rs 29-32 crores nett on day one and if late night surge happens due to partial holidays due to Anant Chaturdashi in Maharashtra and Onam in south then it can surpass Rs 34.75 crore nett of Ranbir’s Sanju.

The mega-budget Brahmastra Part One: Shiva  also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna Akkineni and Mouni Roy, and is directed by Ayan Mukerji and produced by Karan Johar. Shah Rukh Khan has a special cameo in the film that has already got fans talking.

The film is all set to bring Bollywood out of the depths by doing a roaring business in the coming days and weekend. Hopefully, Brahmastra will keep up the momentum in the days to come and establish the Astraverse that it has introduced.
